![]() Once you get tranq arrows, i think its better to tame and then breed Raptors, but early on, you might not have the tools or a suitable base, or enough know-how to pull that off. In some cases, it can be very smart.for example, if you on a small island, or secluded area, setting a dilo or two on wander and letting them kill dilos and dodos for you is just free meat. The Dilo Egg is one of the Eggs in ARK: Survival Evolved. The dilo may not be amazing, but its certainly not wrong to tame a few. Early on, the dilo can at least protect you and your base from other dilos, maybe pegos and other small annoying critters. ![]() ![]() The dilo has its merits, mainly dilo eggs, if you want to get into kibble farming. A dead dino does none of that.įurthermore, if you kill said dino, another dino will just respawn in its place, possibly/probably even the same species. They can help you win fights, and do other things. A tamed dino can at least be a distraction to threats, or alert you to them. how was i even supposed to know that that area was unsafe it was part of the easy spawn. A philosophy that has served me well in ark, is that its generally better to tame something than kill it, unless you just need the mats, or something. They slow Raptors and prevent their leap attack and instantly draw aggro so you can kill them with your pistol.
